NOTE:
Admins will act on the basis that ALL players know the game and it's mechanics.
We think that no one goes to an online game without first some practice and know how to play it.
Companies without registered nicknames (as shown in Client List) on it, can be reset without warning!
To learn OpenTTD mechanics, there is a forum/wiki and... a Single Player mode!!
Practice before playing on BTPro, and if you decide to start, READ THE RULES first.


 
If you wish to become part of the BTPro Server Operator family, ensuring that the rules are upheld with fairly and justly,
the willingness to teach new players on how to play the game and to make sure BTPro is one of the most relaxed,
entertaining servers out there for OpenTTD then apply in the Moderator Applications section below!

Also do not hesitate to ask us a question in the forums or when you see us online on one of the servers!

This info could also be displayed as a table, something like this:

This table could be extended with other information like building count, owner's rating in town etc.


While it isn't impossible to do, it is better fitted to be in the website(something reddit servers have ).

In the client there is no reliable way to store data.

my suggestion is to solve the boats' problem once and for all.
and to do so we need to rethink the pathfinder completely -- i suggest brand new approach to the pathfinding on open flat spaces such is sea.

PATHS on the the do not have to be dynamic!
there are no collisions, no busy lanes...
we may and should search for a new path on very few certain events, and we may store paths statically. moreover, paths may be (and should be) associated with ENDPOINTS -- not with boats!

Silly Sad: pathfinder changes (npf or yapf) are on OpenTTD devs ground.
I don't have the coding skills to touch that matter but all suggestions about it should be make in the correct forum (somewhere around here or in the bug/suggestions section, here )

and I guess it's a server side setting (talking about multiplayer games) where there's no possible change to do on BTPro client :)

sometimes you sent a wrong train to a wrong station that caused the station to accept goods that are not transported from.

therefore that simple and usual mistake is UNRECOVERABLE,
once you damaged your good acceptance the goods will flow to the dead-end station ruining your game forever.

suggestion:
add a "RESET" button to the station, that clears cargo acceptance flags.

the idea itself is very good but undoable only on client side. In other words, the servers needed to be patched too with the same changes to allow the behaviour you suggest (making the client incompatible with all other online servers). So, until the OpenTTD devs include a similar option, leaves you only the option of delete the station and wait till station name disappears before build a new station.
