NOTE:
Admins will act on the basis that ALL players know the game and it's mechanics.
We think that no one goes to an online game without first some practice and know how to play it.
Companies without registered nicknames (as shown in Client List) on it, can be reset without warning!
To learn OpenTTD mechanics, there is a forum/wiki and... a Single Player mode!!
Practice before playing on BTPro, and if you decide to start, READ THE RULES first.


 
If you wish to become part of the BTPro Server Operator family, ensuring that the rules are upheld with fairly and justly,
the willingness to teach new players on how to play the game and to make sure BTPro is one of the most relaxed,
entertaining servers out there for OpenTTD then apply in the Moderator Applications section below!

Also do not hesitate to ask us a question in the forums or when you see us online on one of the servers!

Rules updated to v1.3 11 years 3 weeks ago #2113

For those who are still unaware, the BTPro rule list has been updated to v1.3 as of 27/08/2013.

See the rule list either on the forum, the wiki, or ingame using !rules.

The updated rule list was mainly made due to the extreme abuse within claimed towns on citybuilder servers, so I'm afraid that all standard BTPro rules now apply to claimed towns.


---- Rule list short descriptive change Log ----

Those who wish to know, the BTPro rule listed has now had it's forth update in about two years. The update to v1.1 was to include CityBuilder rules within the current set. The next update to v1.2 was to rewrite the entire rule list in a more user friendly way but this had far too much text to be effective. Therefore one month on from v1.2 we find ourselves at v1.3. The latest version has all the rules explained briefly in an easy to read manner. One major rule change was added about CityBuilder servers as already explained.

hi :)

"No self-competition" means, in other words, "Only one load station per industry type by company"
Stations are identified by the station name, no matter if have rail, RV or dock combined.

I am confused now, but I'm sure it used to be legal to reserve land in your own town at some point. As the rules stand now, it appears to be illegal to reserve land in a claimed town. Or am I wrong? I don't see why it should be as it doesn't give you unfair advantage and doesn't prevent legitimate competition?

Sometimes I like to reserve land in my claimed town in order to keep space for future stations...
