NOTE:
Admins will act on the basis that ALL players know the game and it's mechanics.
We think that no one goes to an online game without first some practice and know how to play it.
Companies without registered nicknames (as shown in Client List) on it, can be reset without warning!
To learn OpenTTD mechanics, there is a forum/wiki and... a Single Player mode!!
Practice before playing on BTPro, and if you decide to start, READ THE RULES first.


 
If you wish to become part of the BTPro Server Operator family, ensuring that the rules are upheld with fairly and justly,
the willingness to teach new players on how to play the game and to make sure BTPro is one of the most relaxed,
entertaining servers out there for OpenTTD then apply in the Moderator Applications section below!

Also do not hesitate to ask us a question in the forums or when you see us online on one of the servers!

Update to FIRS .... 6 years 10 months ago #6307

Hello train friends :)

All our servers that use FIRS have been updated to it's latest version: FIRS 3.0.0 .

Can be downloaded via the previous link or via Check Online Content, in OpenTTD game.
I adds a new Economy, Steeltown, but since we use the Extreme economy probably no big changes spotted ^^

sidenote: I'm already loving the way primary industries spawn. Checking FIRS Changelog , guess it's mostly because of this changes:
- tweaks to industry probabilities for game balance and consistency
- adjusted clustering behaviour for some primary industries

Update to FIRS 3.0.0 6 years 10 months ago #6313

The update to FIRS 3 raised a couple new "possible exploits", at least on FIRS CV goals.

Gladly our server #9 has players always testing the limits (and possible exploits), keeping me on my toes too ^^

So, this are the changes applied on server #9 - only posted here because some can go to other servers using FIRS 3:
- Towns increased to 16 (slow growth) with possibilities of 2 or 3 Cities ingame (server #9 specific);
- Build/Fund industries is now 10 times more expensive (can be adjusted - was a round number that came to my head ^^);
- industry_density was increased to the max level - with multiple_industry_per_town kept true;
- Passengers/Mail payments reduced to half (imo doesn't make sense if a CB server);

I think it's all, because required several testings to get into this ones ^^
Please note: this were the changes made on server #9 because of the FIRS 3 update, that's why posted here!
Anything related to servers using FIRS 3 (currently #9, #30 and #32), feel free to reply here. As someone said once: "Great servers are made by great players". That's why all feedbacks are important ^^

well, now that FIRS versions bug was fixed, our servers #9, #30 and #32 were updated to FIRS 3.0.5 (currently the latest).
