Welcome to the BTPro OpenTTD Community

This community was build around the game: OpenTTD
OpenTTD is an (Free) open source simulation game based upon Transport Tycoon Deluxe


 

!!! Please note that a few servers have been shut-down !!!
Most of the times these servers were doing nothing (no players),
that's why I've decided to slim down the number of OpenTTD servers running.

I have made a selection to keep the most popular servers online.
If you miss a OpenTTD server that you REALLY played a lot, please do post
in the forums. I will then check if I can get it back online!

I'm trying to work from now on with only 1 physical server to
run all OpenTTD instances!

NOTE:
Admins will act on the basis that ALL players know the game and it's mechanics.
We think that no one goes to an online game without first some practice and know how to play it.
Companies without registered nicknames (as shown in Client List) on it, can be reset without warning!
To learn OpenTTD mechanics, there is a forum/wiki and... a Single Player mode!!
Practice before playing on BTPro, and if you decide to start, READ THE RULES first.


 
If you wish to become part of the BTPro Server Operator family, ensuring that the rules are upheld with fairly and justly,
the willingness to teach new players on how to play the game and to make sure BTPro is one of the most relaxed,
entertaining servers out there for OpenTTD then apply in the Moderator Applications section below!

Top 15 fastest times now available on ALL servers 10 years 8 months ago #2207

Hey everyone,

Just a quick update really. The top 15 fastest server times have been added to all the BTPro servers. So you can now check out your fastest times on CompanyValue and CityBuilder goals.

The plugins now collect your time played variables when goal is reached and automatically placed in the database. If you have one of the top 15 fastest gametimes it will automatically update on the CB server score pages too.

So good luck everyone and let's see who really is the fastest on each server we have! :)

P.S. Please note there are several issues we currently have with the fastest time pages. So please do not comment about them. The current issues are:

1. If a game takes longer than 24 hundreds (happens on K1 - 15 billion euros) then it will show as 1.00 day and will not position currently on the fastest time chart.
- To remedy this, will have to take a look into the database recording style.

2. If an server operator (aka owner) declares goal reached (and if he or any other player is logged in) at the start of a game then it will record their times as 00 hours 00 minutes. This would be true if goal reached is declared at any time though. But more noticably at the times stated.
- To remedy this, will have to add a limiter so only games that are over 30 minutes long are recorded. This problem is highly rare and only occurs if a server needs to be shut down but we wish to award points. Or if we wish to test out if values are being recorded properly. The long term solution will be to have the limiter for 30 minutes minimum and then operators to manually remove affected game times and change them to NULL if goal reached after the 30 minute mark.

In the meantime, any errors will be manually removed once spotted.

So please bare with any issues as they will be remedied in the near future. Thank you.

YES!!! This new feature is awesome. Thank you very much cxc.
Oh and could you add the "game number" column data for the fastest games?


The next step is to make it able to download the map by game number. <autosave?>
Edit: If the save file could keep all companies it would be better.

Rexilia, we are working on a feature like that. We can do it in 2 ways: a map downloadable with all companies still on the map (rails, roads, vehicles, everything), or first let the server get rid of all the "loser" (no offence) companies and only leave the winning company behind in the save. What do you think is best?

Leave all companies is definitely better. You can see the whole picture that way.

Shinrei: We don't have the option to download the map by game number, that would need a to much amount of data on our servers.

The 15 fastest game times are available in the menu's of this website. It's under CV or CB scores and choose the server you would like to see the fastest times for :-)
