NOTE:
Admins will act on the basis that ALL players know the game and it's mechanics.
We think that no one goes to an online game without first some practice and know how to play it.
Companies without registered nicknames (as shown in Client List) on it, can be reset without warning!
To learn OpenTTD mechanics, there is a forum/wiki and... a Single Player mode!!
Practice before playing on BTPro, and if you decide to start, READ THE RULES first.


 
If you wish to become part of the BTPro Server Operator family, ensuring that the rules are upheld with fairly and justly,
the willingness to teach new players on how to play the game and to make sure BTPro is one of the most relaxed,
entertaining servers out there for OpenTTD then apply in the Moderator Applications section below!

CityBuilder (Server 10 & 11) Changes 18/05/2013 11 years 6 months ago #1806

Here is a quick summary of the recent changes that has occurred to Server 10, Desert CityBuilder, 8000 population goal (without aircraft) and Server 11, Desert CityBuilder, 10000 population goal (with aircraft) to the date of 18/05/2013.

A new patch has been added to Server 10 and 11. This causes ALL towns to start of between around 150-300 population. So everyone has an equal and fair change of growing towns. As compared to pre-patch where someone would claim a 500 town then the rest were around 250 in population hence gaining a large advantage early game as 500 population towns would grow faster than smaller towns.

City sizes have been increased to pre-patch levels so it is now possible to meet your passenger and mail demands faster instead of having to grow a 300 population city first. City sizes range from 600 to 3000 in population with the variety depending on the random map generation.

Company town protection has been added. This is a three strike and you're out principle.

*** Brief explanation: If someone other than yourself destroys a building within your town he will be warned and automatically sent to spectators if continued, followed by kicking and an eventual ban. Hence your towns will now be safe from large scale destructions! ***

Hope the following changes will increase the enjoyablity factor of Server 10 and 11 Desert CityBuilders
