NOTE:
Admins will act on the basis that ALL players know the game and it's mechanics.
We think that no one goes to an online game without first some practice and know how to play it.
Companies without registered nicknames (as shown in Client List) on it, can be reset without warning!
To learn OpenTTD mechanics, there is a forum/wiki and... a Single Player mode!!
Practice before playing on BTPro, and if you decide to start, READ THE RULES first.

the willingness to teach new players on how to play the game and to make sure BTPro is one of the most relaxed,
entertaining servers out there for OpenTTD then apply in the Moderator Applications section below!

Hi God, first, as you say, covering a town with one station using non-connected bus stops IS abuse and is already not allowed under the rules. If you see this ask the player to stop and/or use the !admin trigger.

Secondly, about the amount of bus stops in a town. This is not as clear cut as you suggest, bus stops are often used to grow a town in order to accept goods (at least in temperate) 5 bus stops with good ratings will grow a town very fast. Using bus stops in this way will benefit any company using the town as it will be growing fast, producing more passengers/mail.

Having so many stops that you deliberately block up a town is already against the rules as they stand (no blocking) - but having a set number of stops allowed per town would prove frustrating to most players.

I was just giving my personal experiences, as I said, once the town is already large enough, no more than said number was necessary. I do use bus stops to grow a town until I decide the town is big enough, to transfer all those passengers to a train station, instead of just bus's running around in the same city.
