Hello there. A small lesson in track costs coming up.

Construction cost in options set to HIGH (default on most servers).

Even if these numbers doesnt corresponds to the server you are playing on then you have to adapt to the servers costs.. Some servers have 1 million GBP to elevate (like water on normal ones ^^) so that means you cant simply elevate, which means you cant go up slopes which are unflat as it will cause an elevation, so you have to make a small plan on where you are heading and what path to take beforehand you build..

Deleting railroad tracks gives a fixed number based on what track type it is. On this server it gave 79 GBP back no matter if the rails caused an elevation or not. So making wrong rails will make you lose a lot of money.

Plan your rails. And try not to elevate too much

And of course don't build over farmland. Very expensive.
