Rules question 12 years 4 months ago #960

I just had an altercation with players in a game.
He claimed I was breaking the rules by expanding my catchment area by having buses take passengers to my station in the same town.
I had thought that the catchment area rule was about making a station bigger itself to increase its catchment, not having buses running.

I've been playing with heaps of games where that is happening and I was fine with it. I also didn't think it was breaking the rules.

Is he right? Or is using buses to transport people to your station, in the same town, OK?

Using buses to transfer is fine.

Using the bus stations to increase coverage of your train station (or the transfer spots inside the city) is not.

It's impossible to tell if something was legal or not without a screenshot showing your setup.

I had a train station. Attached to it was a bust station.
I had several bus stations around the same city.
Buses ferried people from the bus stations back to the train station where they would transfer to the train station.
Is that legal?
