We are badly looking for moderators!

NOTE:
Admins will act on the basis that ALL players know the game and it's mechanics.
We think that no one goes to an online game without first some practice and know how to play it.
Companies without registered nicknames (as shown in Client List) on it, can be reset without warning!
To learn OpenTTD mechanics, there is a forum/wiki and... a Single Player mode!!
Practice before playing on BTPro, and if you decide to start, READ THE RULES first.

If you wish to become part of the BTPro Server Operator family, ensuring that the rules are upheld with fairly and justly,
the willingness to teach new players on how to play the game and to make sure BTPro is one of the most relaxed,
entertaining servers out there for OpenTTD then apply in the Moderator Applications section below!

Also do not hesitate to ask us a question in the forums or when you see us online on one of the servers!

Happy Gaming!

Add BTPro to Steam store for OpenTDD as DLC 9 months 1 week ago #8414

First I want to thank everyone who supports BTPRO - I used to play often and enjoyed it greatly.
What brings me back is noticing that OpenTDD is available in the Steam store.
My suggestion ( not knowing if possible) would be to offer BTPRO as DLC.
Goal being to drive users to this great enhancement tto keep it going and possibly funded.
That's all.

Thanks Again

Thanks Ibis for your suggestion. I will look into it what it means to be a DLC on Steam :-)

I have not looked into it in depth either... but quick search... this might get you started:

Whether your game is Free to Play or paid, you have two ways to sell content for your game: DLC or in-game purchases (microtransactions). Both offer ways for customers to easily purchase content, and both purchase paths must use Steam Wallet.

Free To Play Games (Steamworks Documentation
partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/freetop...use%20Steam%20Wallet.

what I did not see is if you can create and sell DLC ( downloadable content) for 'free' games you do not own
other option is to package and offer BTPro as it's own game

Better yet - if possible - make it a Steam Workshop mod. This would make the client much more accessible to average players unwilling to put the "effort" to download and unpack an archive. Hmmm... Might also need to read a thread on a forum to know what's what and probably risk it all by going against better judgement of MS Windows warning about unknow publisher =D

I remember hesitating too just because I was lazy but when I finally got it ... Now can't imagine playing without it =D

I think you can charge money for mods on the Workshop so there's that too =)
