Hi All,

Alot of people are asking: "Why should I register if I can play without registering anyway?", Well, the answer to that is pretty simple:
When you play on our GOAL Servers and a goal is reached, points will be given to players who are currently logged in and have earned enough Company Value. With these points we are building a High Score List on this site! So to get on this list you need to register

Here are the steps on how to register your playername and how to login to the game:

1: Start by Registering an account on this site / forum (NOTE: In the field "Playername" you should specify the name you want to be known as in the game)

2: When your registration is complete (don't forget to verify your email address) you will have a few new menu items in the top bar, select "Game Login", the system will then give you a login token (copy the whole part with CTRL+C which is saying: !login "token")!

3: Goto OpenTTD, click on the button "Multiplayer" and connect to one of our servers (all starting with -BTPro.nl-)

4: When you are into the server open a chatwindow (by pressing enter) and type !login "token" where "token" is your 4 letter token which was generated on the site (Or press CTRL+V if you copied it)

5: Now the system will automatically change your name to the Playername you registered with on the site and you can start playing like normal!

6: When a GOAL is reached and you have scored enough Company Value you will get points. If you didn't score enough Company Value the system will tell you that you didn't score any points the round.

Please note that you need to be IN YOUR COMPANY when the goal is reached, otherwise the points won't get counted!

Frank, I've got a few questions

- Only when I play on playground #3 I don't gather any points. Recently I played 2 (winning) games, but didnt receive any points. I saw a message that I was not logged in. But I'm sure I was (with token etc).

- Can you explain or give me a link how the score is calculated? I think it's not always the quickest way to reach the goal.

Maybe other TTD-ers can answer these questions;)

I'm playing on BTPro for 2 weeks now and really satisfied! Keep up the good work!

Since the introduction of the BTPro client by ST2 it is also possible to use that to log in to the game with 1 click, eliminating the need to log in to the website. The client including install and setup details can be found here:
