Welcome to the BTPro OpenTTD Community

This community was build around the game: OpenTTD
OpenTTD is an (Free) open source simulation game based upon Transport Tycoon Deluxe

 

!!! Please note that a few servers have been shut-down !!!
Most of the times these servers were doing nothing (no players),
that's why I've decided to slim down the number of OpenTTD servers running.

I have made a selection to keep the most popular servers online.
If you miss a OpenTTD server that you REALLY played a lot, please do post
in the forums. I will then check if I can get it back online!

I'm trying to work from now on with only 1 physical server to
run all OpenTTD instances!

NOTE:
Admins will act on the basis that ALL players know the game and it's mechanics.
We think that no one goes to an online game without first some practice and know how to play it.
Companies without registered nicknames (as shown in Client List) on it, can be reset without warning!
To learn OpenTTD mechanics, there is a forum/wiki and... a Single Player mode!!
Practice before playing on BTPro, and if you decide to start, READ THE RULES first.

 
If you wish to become part of the BTPro Server Operator family, ensuring that the rules are upheld with fairly and justly,
the willingness to teach new players on how to play the game and to make sure BTPro is one of the most relaxed,
entertaining servers out there for OpenTTD then apply in the Moderator Applications section below!

Also do not hesitate to ask us a question in the forums or when you see us online on one of the servers!

Hello BTPRO Team,

since there are updates for ottd, i wanted to update the client.
also 1.4.3 even as 1.4.4 btproclient isnt working.
i tried to start the .exe with a various settings in win7 64bit, but all they are not working and i get an error message, it says: ... no access to the path or file ...

any ideas for help? ;-(

that problem can have several sources, that's why I suggest you to follow this steps, thoroughly:
- Create a new folder; example: c:\Games\OpenTTD.BTPro
- Download the stable OpenTTD zip version: binaries.openttd.org/releases/1.4.4/open....4-windows-win64.zip or binaries.openttd.org/releases/1.4.4/open....4-windows-win32.zip
- Extract all the content to the previous created folder
- Create an empty "openttd.cfg" file in that folder (example: create empty openttd.txt file and rename it to openttd.cfg)
- Run "openttd.exe" - will ask you to download Graphics set - this will allow/create settings specifically for this game folder
- Exit the game
- Download BTPro client and extract content to the mentioned folder (replacing openttd.exe and lang folder)
- Run the new executable, enter your player settings and all should run good ^^

This steps will make possible you run different instances of OpenTTD (as many you want), each one with their own settings

This is a security problem only, login as administrator and change the security settings of the openttd-path for your username. Also to start as an administrator should be working every time.

Hi kaloriensauger,

before installing BTPro client, I'd like to advise you to read this Warning to users: 1.4.4 client cannot be trusted , and verify, you have the correct, last updated version, which should be hopefully ok.
