Welcome to the BTPro OpenTTD Community

This community was build around the game: OpenTTD
OpenTTD is an (Free) open source simulation game based upon Transport Tycoon Deluxe

 

!!! Please note that a few servers have been shut-down !!!
Most of the times these servers were doing nothing (no players),
that's why I've decided to slim down the number of OpenTTD servers running.

I have made a selection to keep the most popular servers online.
If you miss a OpenTTD server that you REALLY played a lot, please do post
in the forums. I will then check if I can get it back online!

I'm trying to work from now on with only 1 physical server to
run all OpenTTD instances!

NOTE:
Admins will act on the basis that ALL players know the game and it's mechanics.
We think that no one goes to an online game without first some practice and know how to play it.
Companies without registered nicknames (as shown in Client List) on it, can be reset without warning!
To learn OpenTTD mechanics, there is a forum/wiki and... a Single Player mode!!
Practice before playing on BTPro, and if you decide to start, READ THE RULES first.

 
If you wish to become part of the BTPro Server Operator family, ensuring that the rules are upheld with fairly and justly,
the willingness to teach new players on how to play the game and to make sure BTPro is one of the most relaxed,
entertaining servers out there for OpenTTD then apply in the Moderator Applications section below!

Also do not hesitate to ask us a question in the forums or when you see us online on one of the servers!

Hi all,

I've been developing .Net Applications for 6 years now. During this time I've developed ASP.Net(WebForms & MVC) and C# Desktop Applications(WinForms, just started on WPF). I would be glad to help this community with my set of skills. This is my first community project I apply to so this is something I have little to no experience, but I think we can easily make it work.

Good work with the server(s). I really liked the game since I was a kid so thanks for keeping it alive.

Anyway, if you need my help or need more information about me, you can drop me a message/email and we can talk about the hows and the whats.

Hi Just,
6 years in field and no answer in 8 months, that's a shame :D

I am not BTPro admin, actually I am from Novapolis, but still I am pleased someone offers some coding in their freetime, so I can resist calling this.

I have this OpenTTD related project in mind, which would be very suitable for c#, but I have no time to do it by myself, so if you're still around and want to do something, feel free to contact me.

Wellllll The_Dude, not completely true...

We spoke with Just on IRC and discussed what he could do for us. Then he said he was kinda busy with (if I recall correctly) school or an assignment or something and said he would come back later, which he didn't until now...

So: So much for the background story ;-)

Ok, so much for talent stealing :D

Still sorry to hear it did not have the proper outcome. It really requires one to have OpenTTD in heart, right? :-)

I hear you :-)

To be honest in my oppinion its to bad that we have a few OpenTTD minded guys / professionals spead over different communities which are trying to run their own islands (including me). Just imagine what we could achieve when we should work together on projects!

Anyway, just my thoughts, unfortunatly i've tried to get everyone together multiple times without results (as we all know).
