90 degree turns 10 years 2 months ago #2589

Is there any good reason this is allowed? I actually just noticed it. I thought it would make forced depot services inconsistant but they seem to go into depot though there is a 90 degree turn possible.

Having this allowed also makes beginners do shortcuts in their railing as they will think 90 degree turns are a good thing in ro-ro's for example.

Any thoughts on changing this or good reasons for it to stay?

I totally agree with Saber.
90 degree turns shouldn't be in openttd.
I can't even explain it to my 7 year old.
He said: "That kind of turns aren't possible in the real world, right?"

I agree! Havent used 90degree turns myself, cause i think they look dumb. Didnt even know they was allowed.

In single-player I'm sure its a option to allow/deny them, so i bet there's a option like that for the once who configure the online servers as well!

I will never use them myself, so for me it doesn't matter that much. Its not like you gain a edge by using them. (well not a edge compared to what people who flatten terrain by starting multiple companies before they start building anyways)
