Let's check it in BTPro Client sources:

CompanyMask fund_regularly;          ///< funds buildings regularly when previous fund ends
CompanyMask do_powerfund;            ///< funds buildings when grow counter is maximal (results in
                                          fastest funding possible)

The above piece of code can be found in diff file. This file is placed on BTPro OpenTTD Client forum page. Look at the DoRegularFunding function, if you need more details, but I think you are already satisfied with the above info.

Powerfund mode should fund buildings as fast as it's reasonably possible (around once every 2 days). It's used to quickly grow towns by spending lots of money. And, ofc, funding should be enabled in the game settings for that to work. Although I've no idea if powerfunding works correctly in btpro client at all as there were some changes to it recently that may not have been ported.
