On 2020-05-24 01:05:36 I was on server K1 - EXTREME GOAL - 15BIL|TEMPERATE|2020-GOAL|NOBRK. Another player was controlling two companies, moving back and forth between them. I'm new on these servers and am unfamiliar with this style of play. Is there an advantage to running two companies at once? Is this an accepted form of play on these servers? At one point he reset one of the companies. I asked him about this but he wouldn't answer. Being new I'm trying to understand what the best method of play is. Thanks.

I'm not sure if having several companies is even allowed. Only time I've seen it used was as a way to circumvent vehicle limits (1 company can only have 40 ships, but 2 companies owned by the same player can have 80), which is a way of cheating. Other than that, there aren't really any reasons you would want several companies other than roleplay.

I plus what Inscius says. It feels more like a burden than as a win to control 2 companies... But if someone can provide a valid reason to do so, please say

Two companies + one player switching between them... I saw it at the beginning of the game (not on K1), when one company is used only for terraforming, then abadoned. It is obviously cheating and not allowed.

Two companies to have 80 ships to transport oil to one rafinery to produce more goods for one company. Also cheating imho.
