Hi, first post, perhaps in the wrong section, apologies.

Why is it i get less for doing better in every column than that of FordPrefect(who is probably a much better player)?

the file is 1KB too big!

on my scores page is relays the information:

I think he scored more points. Maybe someone that knows should correct me if I'm wrong

The scored points are also influenced by some other stuff.

For example the performance rating. But what probably did it in this instance, is the starting time, compared to the normal starting year. More points are earned if a player started late, because it's considered harder to win if you didn't start from the beginning.

Bit flawed system as with later year u will have better stuff and by so win faster than the real starting year. So records you could say are cheated as they have more stuff on the map and better trains. And Points well. Who needs em xD

It's slightly flawwed in cases where people who started up at the start, don't finish and get reset, while the map and current year stay the same. But, usually the industries in those maps have actually gone down on production. The later the map, the worse it usually is.

And about those records, that has nothing to do with this points issue, it's a different one. And empty maps do get reset after a while, and we have the voterestart option.

Besides that, I'm pretty sure quite a few of the records have been cheated anyway, but that's a third seperate issue.

You mean like the 4k Desert record on server 14 vGelder?

Or is that guy really just 33% quicker than anyone else to have played it?
