On the 31st of August I played a game in the evening, on server 27 (12k Aphid CB temperate). It didn't register, even though the game finished and I won it.

It seems that lately, the awarding of the points when a game finished, is slow. It used to happen right away, now it happens almost at the end of the 40 second countdown toward the server restart (on a just finished game, it happened after the 10 second warning for restart). It seems that when it's so slow that it doesn't award the points before the server restart, the entire game isn't registered.

So far I've already had 3 close calls, and luckily only one that didn't register at all.

Hmmm, yeah... As you know we had a hacking issue going on. I think that hacking issue was exactly around that date (the 31st).

Because of the hacking / exploit issue I had to tighten the security of 1 of the physical servers. I have implemented a extra firewall and made some mitigating measures on the Apache webserver. Figuring out now what exactly is causing these delays will be difficult, but I will give it a shot as soon as I have some time.

In the meantime it indeed can happen that some games don't register, simply because the database connection dropped (for whatever reason). So please bare with me while I try to fix the issues we are experiencing.

Maybe a quick fix is making the restart time a little longer, up it to like 60 or 90 seconds, until there's a fix?
Idk, maybe it just sounds easier than it is.

So vGelder, did you play any games recently and did you observe the behavior? Is it still the same or better now?

I've still had the behaviour, but been lucky every time so far that I get awarded the points before restart, but have had a few close calls, including last monday.

Have last couple games that didnt register also.
And something else weird: was playing on server 30 and that server suddenly did a shutdown and restart... pppffff

And i noticed that login doesnt always work either and if it does it takes a while before it registeres.... like the server is heavy loaded, and cant do the command fast ....
