I think its slightly unfair, but in playing Server 8 today, Alex Shade (a member of this community) has used many companies to level a landscape and gain for himself, in effect i think it breaks the rules and i feel something should be done about this. I think i counted a total of 15 companies he used under the name of Alen. If people cant play the game fairly, what is the point in playing at all. It spoils all my fun

That's indeed against the rules (quite a few of them actually) so I guess some admin will take actions. (posting a time you saw it or a screenshot will help though, makes searching the logs a lot easier)

Also (maybe you are already aware of this, but just in case you are not) if an admin is online placing a sign or using "!admin <reason>" in chat is faster. The will get a message in IRC and will usually solve the situation fast. (if they are not online, it is kinda bad luck)

I found the company creations in the logs and banned the player's IP for 3 days.

Cheating to advance yourself ahead of competition is definetely not allowed in any way, that includes creating multiple companies. For example for clearing or terraforming reasons.

Whahah I read the topic on Novapolis and was tempted to post a similar reaction. But since I am neither an admin here nor there, or actively playing the past months I decided agianst it.

I had that one coming, although I've always been on the 'right path' at BTPro servers atleast
