i know very little about the linux locations so i cant really help you.. but it seems like it cant find the hotkeys.cfg?

If some keys work.. try edit those keys in hotkeys.cfg if it exists.. se if it works with those.. if so there is something else that is wrong

as I said, it works in Gnome and Unity (these are windows managers), doesn't work in Xfce (another one). so it's probably either Xfce or OpenTTD bug.

I've tried to compile/run BTPro client using Debian and Fedora distro's, but using gnome in all.
that's the reason why always worked

but if even the vanilla version dnt work, as you said, it's Xfce or OpenTTD bug
