My first win took me about 1:20 or 1:30 on CB temperate/4000.

I lost lots of games before because other players joined the games much later and their towns grew much faster.
But I found out, how towns grow, and my fastest game was 38 min to 4000 and about 55 min to 8000

Again 38 minutes to 4000. But how can you win the game after 30 minutes?

Practice makes it easier and faster. But your town growth depends on a couple of things. Like your grid and how you set up your stations. Rating etc, etc. But your town seems to grow alot faster when you start a couple years after the game has started. But you have to be really fast since other people didnt do that. So you run the risk of losing.
