You should also try to find good spot for your city, have a rough plan before you start, and how (fast) you're gonna make your first $1M of income.

Best time in 2018 was 1 hour 11 minutes, achieved by two players in one company: nkula and tomasito. Another team - Chiflo and r5 - achieved the goal in 1 hour 15 minutes. Best time in 2017 of single player = 1 hour 19 minutes by martin.
