i was out of money.. only had 500 gbp xD¨¨

S curve is straight right left.. thats a good S.. but the bad S curves are when u do straight right left right

picture shows a good and bad S curve.. where both trains should usually be going 160km/h but the bottom one has too early double-S curve

Those are 111km/h curves with normal trains (non-monorail)

Did a new one that looks like yours and works the same but without major slowdowns

If I really have to use 4 way crossings I use something almost identical to Sabers 2 lane junction.

2x2 4-way crossings should be avoided in a competitive game, as it is usualy to much work to be worth the benefit. Your last roundabour is nice, but why would you do it that way? trains that want to go left take a quite large detour and it takes more space than sabers cross?

the benefits are only fancy railing and nothing else.. these merges causes jams and not only for one train but many.. u could do this but u have to do it biger to not make blockages everywhere where there will be jams...

in a competitive game u want straight lines and simple ones that doesnt cause jams.. hubs without merges and 2-1-2 / ro-ro stations

Thanks everyone. I never paied attention on those strategies.

With this new knowedge about S curves i did something that looks like work pretty fine... But don't know if ll be praticable in a competitive game.

Please guive you avaliation.

There are a lot of corners in there that are way worse than the S-curves.

And as Andreas and Saber already pointed out, there's no way any 4-way junction will work properly in a competitive game. I do however get the attraction of those big junctions. I love to build big networks with those junctions and big stations in single player or LAN coop for fun and fancy railing.

As far as effectiveness and efficiency, I really doubt you can make one that's significantly better than Saber's one.
